Paranoid Parents has created products that solved a problem or eased a parent's worry, when there was nothing else out there that did the job.

Born out of necessity in raising her own four children, or from the pleas of other parents, Paranoid Parents founder Christie Barnes, worked with experts, researched the facts, to come up with things to make her life easier.

..."the plate every child in America should have--it is fun, it teaches them healthy foods and exactly how much they should eat..."

State chief Medical Officer

Healthy Eating is another top priority but measuring puts off a lot of us mothers.  Also the wonderful food campaigner and cook Jamie Oliver found that many school children in Britain didn't know more than a few vegetables and fruits--and children will not grow up to eat healthy foods if they can't even recognize them.

So Christie herself designed the Healthy Eating 'Plate by Numbers' based on the Food Pyramid and Harvard's revised Food Pyramid.  Like 'Paint by Numbers', children or health-conscious adults just scoop up a similarly colored food to put in the right area of the plate.  Kids get a feel for what and how much.

Available with numbers/areas or simply with the food rim.  Breakfast plates and dinner plates available in the two styles.

"I was really shocked to research that 97% of us parents aren't feeding our children anything even close to the Food Pyramid, however hard we think we are trying.  I photographed every single piece of food for the plates and then we had to eat up all that healthy food and I saw how far off I was from feeding my children healthy food.  I did the plates for me and my kids--they are so much fun!"

Label_Gold_button_basic_swim_tiny.jpgSELF ESTEEM came in as one of the top 5 worries of most parents in Paranoid Parent focus surveys.  So Self-esteem Kits were devised.  Stickers were ruled out--kids love them but they fall apart.  Buttons are little like stickers and better buttons that can also be magnets, that can also be turned into zipper pulls or 'croc widgets' beat stickers and sticker charts as tangible and appropriate goals and rewards.LabelButtonJar.jpg

No, you don't have to buy a toy for every trip to the zoo.  No, you don't always have to buy a present when your child achieves something.  A button or a magnet is an appropriate reward with the button message matching the achievement.
